FORMER GOVERNOR JEB BUSH ENDORSES CAROL PLATT FOR CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT 9

Orlando, FL -- Jeb Bush, 43rd Governor of the State of Florida, has announced his endorsement of Carol Platt for Congress in Florida's Congressional District 9, which includes Orange, Osceola, and Polk Counties.

“I’ve known Carol and her family for over a decade.  Her conservative credentials, ability to listen and understand everyday voters’ concerns are what make her stand out,” Bush said.  “She’ll have an immediate positive impact as a Member of Congress.”

Florida's 9th Congressional District is presently held by Congressman Alan Grayson.  Grayson, who has recently been in the news and heavily criticized for comparing Tea Party Republicans to the KKK, is known for his far-left, boisterous and eccentric displays of liberalism.  Gov. Bush said "The differences between Carol Platt versus Congressman Grayson in policy, positions, representation and respect for others will be drastically apparent."

Governor Bush also made a personal contribution to her campaign earlier in the fall.  "I am truly humbled and honored to have Gov. Bush's endorsement and financial support," Platt said.  "I have an enormous amount of respect for him both professionally and personally.  He continues to be a leader in our state.  I look forward to campaigning with him here in the District and throughout the State."
