Platt Calls on Bonilla to Renounce Endorsements

August 7, 2014 (St. Cloud, FL):  The Carol Platt for Congress Campaign is calling on Jorge Bonnila’s Campaign to immediately renounce the negative statements made against former Governor Jeb Bush and Senator Rubio and apologize to both.

“My opponent is choosing to continue the mud-slinging ways of Alan Grayson. But I’m running to bring us all together and move our nation forward,” says Carol Platt (R), Congressional District 9 Candidate. “I am proud to have the endorsement of Governor Jeb Bush and am proud of the accomplishments of our Senator Marco Rubio,” Platt continues.

In a fundraising email blast from Bonilla, two recent endorsements bashed Governor Bush and Senator Rubio saying Bonilla ”

opposes amnesty — and not the mealy-mouthed Rubio-esque way” and calling Platt a “Jeb Bush-backed, soft-on-Common-Core Republican.”  This kind of mud-slinging against fellow respected Republicans continues the divisive ways championed by Alan Grayson and the Platt campaign calls on Bonilla to immediately respond.

Carol Platt’s life has been profoundly shaped by service, hard work and knowing what it takes to make ends meet – in business and at home.  She is passionate about great and effective government that serves the people – and deeply concerned that neither greatness nor service are values currently representing the 9th Congressional district.  It’s what has motivated her to run – and it will be her compass when she serves.
